Earlier this week, ground was officially broken for renovations including a new track at Danville’s George Washington High School. The project involves $80 million, and the event held Tuesday at J.T. Christopher Stadium was the second groundbreaking in a week on a school renovation project. The first was on March 16, which marked the start of renovations and construction for the upcoming new location for Galileo Magnet High School… at the site of the former John M. Langston High School. Danville Public Schools’ central office will also be a part of that facility.
