A wild 21 mile police pursuit through Alleghany and Bath Counties, ended with the arrest of a man who is now facing multiple charges. It happened Wednesday night, when an Alleghany County deputy tried to pull over a van in the area of Clifton Forge around 11, but the driver took off. During the chase, officers say the driver was tossing things out of the vehicle’s window. It all ended in the Millboro area of Bath County, where deputies deployed spike strips. 39-year-old Victor Persinger of Clifton Forge is now facing a string of drug charges, along with Obstruction of justice; Operating a vehicle on a revoked license; and failure to stop for an officer. Persinger is being held without bond at the Alleghany Regional Jail.
