A search warrant was recently served on a home on Old Mill Drive in Summerfield, North Carolina by Rockingham County Sheriff’s Investigators, with the assistance of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. A huge cache of illegal drugs and narcotics… including cocaine and fentanyl…. along with firearms that had been stolen from area homes, and about $15,000 in unexplained cash were seized. According to the DEA, the amount and type of Fentanyl recovered would be enough to kill around 19,000 people. 39 year old Jeremiah Chaney; 28 year old Tabitha Miller; 24 year old Brandon Benfield; and 22 year old Emily Thorpe… all of Summerfield…. were arrested and locked up behind bars. Each now faces a long and varied list of felony charges.
