Pittsylvania County’s Board of Supervisors voted to pass the fiscal year 2023 budgets for the the County and Pittsylvania County Schools. The spending plans contain no tax or rate increases and uses 14% of the general fund for general government services, which includes every department that doesn’t fit into health and human services or public safety. The County budget is just under $219 million while the schools budget came in at a little over $21 million.
