Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares was in Danville e on Monday to kick off the observance of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Miyares spoke at the James F. Ingram Justice Center and remarked that the one word not heard in criminal-justice reform is “victims”. The Danville Commonwealth’s Attorney office, Pittsylvania County Commonwealth’s Attorney office, Danville Police Department, and Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office were at the event along with several crime victims.
