A heads up if you use Route 669 in Pittsylvania County also known as Melon Road. The DOT temporarily closed a section from Wyatts Road to the intersection of Buffalo Road in Halifax County so surface repairs can be conducted. This section remains closed through Friday. The signed detour route uses Wyatts Road to Route 668, to Route 640 then back to Melon Road. Plan for extra time to get through the detour route.
