The Danville School Board announced that Reyhan Deskins is the new principal of George Washington High School. According to the Star-Tribune Deskins is currently an Assistant Principal at Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Roanoke. He succeeds Dr. Johnnie Simmons who became principal in 2021. Deskins is a Danville Community College alumnus who earned a bachelor’s from Ferrum University and his masters from Virginia Tech. He starts his new job this fall.
