A black bear was spotted roaming the streets of Halifax on Wednesday. According to WFXR the animal was seen in the area of Houston Street and Snead Lane. Police say bears are drawn to garbage and food so keep trash cans covered and do not leave any food outside including pet food and bird feeders. If you see a bear, do not confront it. Slowly walk away if you are approached or come in close contact.
