Danville’s Lidl store will be closing its doors according to a company spokesperson who tells the Star-Tribune the decision was based on the store’s performance. The store which opened in 2017 will begin its going-out-of-business sale July 28. Danville employees will be offered opportunities to relocate to a different store in the Lidl’s network. The nearest store is in Burlington, N.C. Lidl has more than 150 stores on the East Coast.
