A Danville man has been arrested and charged in connection with a homicide at an apartment complex on Piney Forest Road back in July. A grandy jury on Monday indicted 30-year-old Richard Lee Wilson Jr. on charges of first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and use of a firearm by a convicted felon. On July 27th authorities responded to calls of shots fired at the Woodside Village apartments on Piney Forest Road. Officers found 23-year-old Darick Lamont Richarson II suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near the F and K buildings. Richardson was taken by life flight to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he later died. Wilson was already being held in the Danville City Jail on an unrelated charge.
