Project Imagine has added 6 new graduates to their ever-growing list of success stories. Students in the program learn life skills training along with goal setting exercises while steering gang prone kids off the streets and putting them on the path to employment. This rounds class of graduates is as follows: Hayden Crane, Amarion Hairston, Jhymier Harper, Jayshawn King, Naszir Wilson, and Cameron Wimbush. Since the beginning days of Project Imagine they have had 12 classes with a total of 69 teens graduate. Robert David, youth and gang services prevention coordinator for the City of Danville said of this group of Graduates, “The most powerful thing any of us can do is to make a decision to go in the right direction. Many times, we take that for granted. But when you are a young person, making that decision every day can be the difference between life and death.” As part of the program, the participants receive strength-based assessments using the Casey Life Skills and Clifton Strengths tools that aim to set youth on their way toward developing healthy, productive lives.
