Martinsville Public Schools announced on Tuesday that a window security film was installed in one of their classrooms. The move is a step that the school system is taking to keep students safer.

A post from the Martinsville Public Schools Facebook page says that “Security film is a thick, multi-laminated plastic film made of special acrylic adhesives. This film is designed to absorb and disperse impact, making it much more difficult for an intruder to enter a building or classroom.”
