Danville City Council unanimously approved preliminary designs for two Danville schools last night. One of the designs is for the construction of a new G.L.H. Johnson elementary school building and another for improvements at George Washington High School.

The new  Johnson building will be on the current school property, as the city still has plans to use the old building. At G.W. the designs include improvements to the gym, career and technical education building, and classrooms. The project at Johnson is an agreement between the Danville School Board and Brand Builds, INC, while the G.W. improvements are between the school board and English Construction Company.
