Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin unveiled the 2022 Virginia Energy Plan on Monday. Youngkin called the plan an “all of the above” approach to achieve affordable and clean energy.

Youngkin said the plan is crucial because it will bring growth to the state.

“To ensure that Virginia is the best place to live, to work, and to raise a family Virginia must grow,” said Youngkin. “We in fact have to grow new jobs, we must grow new companies and businesses, and we must grow our population.”

He also added that it’s extremely important for state residents and businesses to have dependable and affordable power at all times.

“No matter who you are, you expect that when you flip the light switch that the lights will come on and stay on and a growing Virginia not only needs reliable power, it needs it at an affordable cost,” said Youngkin.
