The Danville Regional Foundation announced yesterday they have received a $13 million donation. The gift comes from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott to support their mission of being a catalyst for long-term transformation through the development, promotion and support of impactful activities and programs that address the health, education and well-being of all the Dan River Region’s residents.  Scott is a billionaire author and the former wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
