The Roxboro Police Department recently seized counterfeit candy that contained THC. A Facebook post from the department says they seized 145 counterfeit items, with 126 of them being edible items.

The edible items violated copyright laws that could easily confuse individuals into thinking it was regular candy. During the investigation, four convenience stores in the city limits had items seized under violations of counterfeit marks. Those convenience stores included Madison Smoke & Vape, Roxboro Tobacco & Vape, M&A1, and Fuel Time Convenience. This investigation led by Lt Williams was a proactive approach to get these items out of stores in order to keep them out of hands of children who may have believed that they were candy.
