Danville Community College partnered with local organizations to host the Danville Job and Resource Fair on Tuesday. More than 50 employers attended the event with around 1,400 jobs available.
Barry Mayo, the recruiter for the DCC Tare and Cape program helped organize the event and was thrilled with the results.
“This is remarkable and when we come together this is what happens,” said Mayo, “and there’s been so much excitement, but I can tell through calls and so forth that it’s been very appreciated.”
Over 300 citizens attended the job fair. There were also over 30 different community resource organizations in attendance to help citizens.
