The Washington Commanders have announced that Owners Dan and Tanya Snyder have hired Bank of America Securities to explore a possible sale of the franchise. The release from the Commanders did not specify whether the Snyder’s are interested in selling the entire franchise or just a minority stake.
According to Forbes, the Commanders are the sixth most valuable team in the NFL at an estimated worth of $5.6 billion. Dan Snyder has come under fire recently as he and the organization are under investigation by the NFL and the House Oversight Committee for sexual harassment and financial misconduct.
