University of Virginia football players D’Sean Perry, Lavel Davis Jr., and Devin Chandler have been confirmed as the three that were killed by a gunman Sunday night on the schools campus. According to the Daily Progress, UVA President Jim Ryan confirmed the news on Monday morning.
Two other people were also injured in the shooting. Police now have the suspect in custody who has been identified as former UVA football player, Christopher Darnell Jones.
Perry played linebacker for Virginia and was in his junior season. He’s originally from Miami, FL according to the team website. Davis Jr. played wide receiver and was a junior from Dorchester, SC. Chandler is originally from Huntersville, NC and was in his first year at UVA after transferring from Wisconsin.
