Thanks to tips a convicted sex offender with ties to Halifax County has been arrested in Nottoway County. The Virginia State Police says that Cody Dallas Garcia, 19, was apprehended without incident on Wednesday, Jan 18.

Garcia was last registered as living in Lunenberg County and was wanted for three counts of failing to re-register as a sex offender. He had connections in Lunenburg and Halifax counties, and Midlothian/Chesterfield County. Garcia had recently been seen in the Clarksville area of Mecklenburg County as well as Henderson, NC.
