Saturday morning a fatal accident occurred on Franklin Turnpike. According to Virginia State Police, the accident occurred at 11:36 in the 3900 block of Franklin Turnpike when a vehicle turned in front of another vehicle and a woman was killed. State Police said more information will be available when next of kin is notified.
