Our brand new WBTM/Danville Dental Associates Citizen of the Month is Scotty Owen. The letter of nomination was submitted by Kelly Owen.
Scotty spent the month of December selflessly planning and immersing himself into multiple community events for the benefit of others. It really amazes me how much he is willing to give of himself and how he’s always starting on the next project, especially as a one man operation of two businesses…but always manages to finish what he starts. He built and pulled a parade float for the youth of West Main Baptist, donated a bounce house for the Meredith Gravely Dance Company’s fund raiser, another bounce house for Virginia Sliders Baseball, showed up for Park Avenue’s music program to create a winter wonderland of snow and music for the kids, and also organized a successful “Fill the Trailer” toy drive to benefit the Salvation Army and Christmas Bucks for Kids. Scotty has a big heart and loves to create and be a part of something positive in the community, especially for the benefit of children and teens.
It’s easy to see Scotty touches a lot of lives with his good deeds and everyone is the better for it. Kelly Owen thank you for your letter of nomination and we agree wholeheartedly with you, that Scotty Owen deserves to be our next WBTM/Danville Dental Associates Citizen of the Month.
