Shortly after noon, the Danville Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle on fire next to a garage at 102 Berman Drive in North Danville. The first arriving engine company found a pickup truck heavily involved with fire, with the fire extending into the garage and nearby woods.

Multiple crews worked and were able to get the fire extinguished in five minutes. The garage received moderate smoke and fire damage, and one vehicle was a total loss.

Thankfully, there were no injuries reported during this incident.  Three engines and one ladder company responded, along with multiple staff personnel. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
