A Martinsville man has been arrested for drug trafficking. According to WJHL, 38-year-old Octavia Myron Johnson has been arrested for trafficking-controlled substances in Washington County and other communities.
During a search of Johnson’s home in Martinsville authorities found 10 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, three ounces of cocaine, $3,800 in cash, and two firearms. Johnson is in custody at Southwest Virginia Regional Jail on charges of use of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking and possession with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of a mixture containing methamphetamine.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Martinsville Police Department assisted several agencies in the arrest including Virginia State Police and the Drug Enforcement Agency. The arrest is part of a multi-jurisdiction operation to stop narcotics from coming into the area.
