Motorists in Pittsylvania County should expect delays starting Monday due to a bridge superstructure replacement on Route 686. Route 686 (Elkhorn Road) will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Route 680 (County Line Road), to the intersection of Route 640 (Java Road).

This section of Route 686 will be closed starting today through June 2. The Department of Transportation will provide adequate signs for the closure and detour of this portion of Route 686 (Elkhorn Rd.) and will use Route 680 (County Line Rd) to Route 666 (Yeatts Store Rd.) to Route 640 (Java Rd.) back to Route 686 (Elkhorn Rd.)
