A man facing charges stemming from a shooting incident in Danville on Sunday has turned himself in to authorities. 40-year-old Jonathan Lamont Warren turned himself in at 9:30 am on Wednesday.
Warren has been charged with second offense concealed weapon. The case is still open and active.
Around 6:20 pm Sunday, officers responded to an altercation near the basketball courts and heard shots fired upon arrival. Those present at the basketball courts dispersed from the scene.
One person fleeing the scene suffered a leg injury while running away. That individual was not shot. Investigators at this time have no reason to believe anyone was struck by a bullet during the incident.
