The Rockingham County and Henry County Sheriff’s Offices are searching for a man wanted on kidnapping charges. Douglas Alan Scholz is currently wanted by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office for the following criminal charges related to a domestic disturbance incident.
• Felony First-Degree Kidnapping
• Felony Domestic Violence Protective Order Violation
Scholz resides in Henry County at 2850 Greenhill Drive in Martinsville. He is considered armed and dangerous. Scholz fled the scene of the crime at 411 Vintage Road in Eden in a dark blue newer model Ford F150.
Anyone with information regarding Scholz’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Martinsville-Henry County 911 Center at 911, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 276-638-8751, or Crimestoppers at 63-CRIME (632-7463). The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2500.00 for information related to crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
