On Tuesday night the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution honoring Dan River District Supervisor Tim Chesher for his service to the county. Chesher recently announced he is stepping down from the board on June 1 due to medical reasons. Chesher praised the people he’s gotten to work with in the county.
“Anything I’ve done here I had to learn,” said Chesher, “you’ve got some of the greatest county workers that you can only imagine here. They’ve been very patient with me, they’ve been very kind to me.”
A special election is expected to be held in November to fill Chesher’s seat.
