Caesars Virginia officially opened a temporary casino in Danville last week and the company is already giving back to the region. In a video on the Star News TV Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon, Caesars Virginia announced a total donation of $200k to two local charities.
Caesars donated $100k each to House of Hope and to Haven of the Dan River Region. The money donated stems from two testing days that the casino held for invited guests before officially opening to the public on May 15. All of the money from those events went to charity.
