Some rentals at a park in Pittsylvania County will be unavailable due to construction starting on May 29. Construction on Wayside Park Bridge will last through October 20.

During this period Pittsylvania County Parks and Recreation will not be renting out the Wayside Park Pavilion or Sycamore Stage. The main side of the park will remain open to the public as usual.

The county is asking that visitors proceed with caution and avoid touching or getting around any construction equipment or the construction area. They also ask that visitors avoid the areas of the creek near the construction site during the construction of the bridge.
