Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality.  The crash occurred on Friday, at 1:13 pm on Route 220, just north of Route 641 in Henry County.

A 2003 Mazda 3 was traveling south on Route 220, when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver was identified as Bruce Allen Guillams, 57, of Roanoke. Guillams was wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
