Gas prices in Virginia have risen slightly over the past week according to AAA. The average price for gas this week is $3.34 a gallon up slightly from $3.32 a gallon last week.
The average price in Virginia is still significantly lower than the nation average of $3.57 a gallon.
While the average across the state is slightly up the prices across the southside remained mostly the same over the last week. The average price in Danville is still $3.15 a gallon, while the average in Pittsylvania County is up one cent to $3.25 a gallon. The average price in Henry County is also up one cent to $3.22 and in Martinsville the average price dropped two cents to $3.22 a gallon. The average price in Halifax County actually dropped 11 cents down to $3.21 a gallon.
