The City of Danville will be the host city for the 2023 Virginia Brownfields Conference, which is overseen by the Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Energy. The conference will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research.

State and federal representatives, along with brownfields practitioners, will be in our community learning about best practices for brownfields redevelopment. Highlighted during the week will be the City of Danville’s efforts in this field, including highlighting River District redevelopment, the Dan River Falls project, the Schoolfield master plan, and the Caesars Virginia project.
