On Friday the Charlotte Hornets announced that Michael Jordan has sold the team for $3 billion, according to ESPN. Jordan owned the team for 13 seasons and originally purchased the franchise for $180 million.

According to a release from the team, Jordan is selling the Hornets to a group led by Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall. The group purchasing the team also includes country music artist Eric Church and rapper J. Cole.
