A Henry County man has been arrested on drug and gun charges. On Wednesday the Henry County Sheriff’s Office entered a home at 188 George Hairston Road in Fieldale with a search warrant.

As officers entered the home they saw a man with a semi-automatic weapon. Deputies then arrested 39-year-old Michael Aundrea Hairston without incident.

Hairston has been charged with possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl after having a prior conviction. Possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony, and possession of a firearm while knowingly being in possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled substance.

More charges are expected as the case is still under investigation.
