The Danville Police Department’s City vs County basketball game on Friday is changing venues. The game will now be played at Westover Christian Academy due to renovations at O.T. Bonner Middle School. 

The doors will open at 5:45 pm with the women’s game starting at 6:30 pm and the men’s game will follow. The games serve as a big fundraiser for kids in the community according to Corporal Sylvia Brooks.

“We want the community to come on and support. This is a big fundraiser that buys toys for the youth, help with events, if they need something like during the youth police academy some of them needed some extra stuff, clothes were purchased, all type of things and this is our big fundraiser,” said Brooks.

Tickets for the games can be purchased at the door for $10.
