The Danville Fire Department put out a porch fire on Wednesday morning before the fire could spread inside. The department responded to the fire on Plum Street at around 6 am.

The porch and siding of the house sustained heat and flame damage. However, there was no damage to the structure of the house.

The cause of the fire was determined to be an accident by the fire marshal. The occupants of the home were not at home during the fire. There was a dog and cat at the home that were uninjured during the fire.
