The Danville Fire Department extinguished a fire on Milton Avenue early Monday morning. Firefighters responded to 29 Milton Avenue at 4 am to find fire showing out of a one story home.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire after it started in the attic and jumped from void space to void space. The fire was started by unattended cooking.

The occupant of the home was at a neighbors home at the time of the fire. The home sustained moderate damage to the ceiling and attic.
