On Tuesday night, the Danville Fire Department was investigating a possible gas leak on Bridge Street in the River District. During the investigation, it was discovered that gas was entering an apartment from a crawl space at 522 Bridge Street.

The main gas line to the building has been shut off until the leak can be found and repaired. No evacuations were ordered due to the leak.
