The Eden Police Department is searching for two shooting suspects after two people were injured on Wednesday night. According to the department, officers were dispatched at 10:45 pm for a report of multiple gunshots at the J-Mart located at 904 Virginia Ave.
Officers arrived quickly and located evidence of a shooting in the parking lot. However, all parties involved had fled the scene. During the preliminary investigation, Officers learned that the gunfire struck two subjects involved in the incident, and they were at a local medical facility receiving treatment.
Detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation. Witnesses on scene reported that two subjects were involved in a physical altercation which led to an exchange of gunfire.
Surveillance cameras in the area captured the incident and investigators were able to identify the parties involved. William Cordero Lindsey, 35, and Kwes Lashad Keen, 32, were identified as the two engaged in the physical altercation and exchange of gunfire. The two gunshot victims were identified as Derek Hairston, 32, and Sierra Carter, 28, both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, warrants were obtained for William Lindsey and Kwes Keen for one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
Sierra Carter was also charged as a conspirator. Sierra has been apprehended without incident.
The Eden Police Department is requesting the publics assistance in locating William Lindsey and Kwes Keen.
