The National Weather Service in Blacksburg is warning southside residents about the enhanced risk of thunderstorms on Monday afternoon. According to the NWS, A line of storms will likely bring strong to possibly damaging winds as it moves west to east through the region.

A brief tornado is also possible, as is hail. Speed of the storms should limit the flooding threat, but some localized flooding still possible. Have a way to receive any warnings today.
