A Martinsville man has been charged after injuring three people in a stabbing incident in Collinsville. Deputies responded to 40 Stanley Court in Collinsville at 2:25 am on Sunday. 

After arriving deputies located Aderli Lopez and Miguel Bonilla, who were both suffering from stab wounds. Both were airlifted to hospitals for treatment of life threatening injuries. Authorities also located Maria Carabajal, who had a cut on her arm. She was taken to SOVAH Health Martinsville for treatment.

During the investigation authorities learned that 28-year-old Franke Uribe Merchan had fled the scene after stabbing Lopez and Bonilla following an altercation. He also injured Carbajal when she tried to intervene.

Merchan was located shortly after and charged with three counts of malicious wounding.
