The Danville Office of Economic Development and Tourism is seeking development proposals for property in the River District. The property located at 231 Main Street serves as a gateway to the city and enjoys close proximity to two major ongoing redevelopment projects valued at over $100 million. Among these projects is a five-acre Riverfront Park and the revitalization of the former Dan River Mills into the enchanting Dan River Falls.
The Riverfront Park and Dan River Falls initiatives are set to be completed by 2024, with an exciting urban whitewater rafting feature following soon after.
The property is equipped with water, wastewater, electric, and gas connections. It’s also situated in a designated Enterprise and Opportunity Zone, potentially opening doors to federal, state, and local grants based on qualified capital investments.
