A homicide that took place in Axton on Friday night is under investigation. According to BTW 21, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man went to Sovah Health Danville with a gunshot wound. The man later died from his injuries.

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office notified the Henry County Sheriff’s Office about the incident that reportedly took place in the 7000 block of Axton Road. The SWAT team then executed a search warrant at the residence that was vacant at the time.
