Danville’s Project Imagine has announced a new partnership with the non-profit organization Communities In Schools of Virginia. The partnership will help provide resources for students within the Danville Public Schools to help them succeed in and out of the classroom.
Project Imagines’ Brenda David will serve as the coordinator for the program at GW High School. She told River City TV more about the partnership.
“We’re going to be providing in school homework assistance, working with local organizations, faith based groups, and community agencies just providing homework assistance during school hours, because we know a lot of students it’s hard for them to come after school,” said David.
Other services will be focused on attention, behavior, and grades. 16 students are currently enrolled in the program and up to 60 will be accepted.
