On Friday the Danville Fire Department Technical Rescue Team spent the day working on several trench rescue scenarios. TRT members are required to participate in quarterly training sessions that address the various technical rescue specialties.

The DFD TRT works on: heavy vehicle rescue, confined space rescue, trench and excavation rescue, structural collapse rescue, high angle rescue, and several members are cross trained in both surface and swift water rescue.
