Pittsylvania County Board Of Supervisor member Vic Ingram announced on Monday that he’s stepping down at the end of the year and won’t seek re-election. Ingram said in a Facebook video on Monday that a group that was opposed to the Axton multi-use development has found a candidate and has been working behind the scenes to undermine the things he’s accomplished.
“I’m not yielding to this group, but rather, trying to what’s best. I don’t need to fight these lies all over again, this will do nothing, but produce a nasty campaign, which will bring further division and embarrassment to our community as well as our county,” said Ingram.
Ingram also said the dirt they were trying to use has been proven to be untrue in the past, but he didn’t elaborate on what it was.
