Today the Danville Planning Commission approved the rezoning of over 125 acres for the construction of a multi-family residential district. The proposed residential district will be located off of South Main Street near the Danville Expressway.

The residential district will have nine three-story garden style multifamily buildings totaling 324 units in phase one of the project. The project will also include a community clubhouse, a pool, dog park, and outdoor recreational activities.

The second phase of the project would include seven more units. Danville City Council will vote on the rezoning at the October 3 meeting.
