Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisor member Vic Ingram announced on Thursday night that he will seek re-election during a Facebook live video. Ingram previously suspended his campaign for the Tunstall District seat on August 20 saying that he was choosing to step away and spend time with his family.
Ingram said in last nights video that since making the announcement that he wouldn’t seek re-election many people had asked him to reconsider.
In the video Ingram also said that he couldn’t walk away from the “nasty political hit jobs” he’s been through and the good work that he’s done.
Ingram faces opposition in the November 7, election for the Tunstall District seat from Josh Austin. He says he will run on the same platform as four years ago, focusing on supporting education, public safety, and economic development.
