A woman was arrested in Henry County on Thursday morning following a shooting incident. 27-year-old Kerianda Witcher was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, shoot or stab with the intent to kill, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Witcher went to her ex-girlfriend, Deja Jordan’s apartment at 90 Autumn Crest Drive in Collinsville in an attempt to get some of her belongings. Witcher went to the apartment twice and on the second attempt kicked in the door.

An altercation then started inside the apartment between Witcher, Jordan, and Allysia Poindexter. The altercation continued outside where Withcher retrieved a gun from her car and shot in the direction of Poindexter.

Witcher then got in her car and left the scene. She was apprehended a short time later without incident.
